Bear Mountain
[portfolio_slideshow id=1107]
Rain was off and on. It was cold at the top. The views were still incredible. The mists weaving through the various buttes/mesas were amazing.
Looking east toward Sedona. Just beginning to climb up Bear mountain.
This is looking east again, about halfway up.
This is looking south. In the distance you can see Doe mountain.
This is what the beginning of the ascent looks like. There is a shallow cave off to the side.
Here Doe mountain is a little clearer. It is the mesa looking feature in the upper center portion of the frame.
The trail looks like this much of the way. Cairns identify the trail over the rock. The cairns are usually about 6 – 8″ high.
Looking west towards Jerome.
