North of Mormon Lake
This section of the Arizona Trail follows an old railroad north of Mormon Lake. I began hiking at the Horse Lake trailhead heading westward.
You can see the railroad about 2 miles west of Lake Mary road.
The base of the old railroad was created with local lava rock.
